Laser Tag & NERF Engineering Camp with Miss Maker

Join the Coastside’s favorite creative educator, Miss Maker, for a high-energy, brain-boosting summer camp where engineering meets action! This one-of-a-kind program blends hands-on STEM design with the thrill of laser tag and NERF battles—all wrapped in Miss Maker’s signature mix of fun, safety, and skill-building.

💥 What’s Included:

  • Daily Laser Tag Games
    Campers play structured laser tag each day, starting in open fields and evolving into a player-designed obstacle course!

  • NERF Target Design Challenge
    Kids use the Engineering Design Process to brainstorm, build, and test their own creative NERF targets using cardboard, pool noodles, bells, LED lights, and more.

  • Woodshop Meets Flight School
    Learn to safely use real tools (drills, vices, and sandpaper) to build a paper airplane launcher, then test planes for distance, accuracy, and hang time.

  • Teamwork & Problem Solving Games
    Daily team challenges and STEM centers promote social-emotional growth and creative thinking.

  • Signature Miss Maker Magic
    Known across Coastside schools for creating inclusive, engaging spaces where kids thrive—Miss Maker brings her maker mindset, empathy, and experience to every camp day.

Sample Schedule

  • Morning: Introduction to the Engineering Design Process. Paper Airplanes

  • Snack:

  • Introduction to Woodworking. Create a paper airplane launcher

  • Lunch:

  • Laser Tag (Open Field/No obstacles)

  • Snack:

  • Build: Design an obstacle course for laser tag using the Engineering Design Process. Reflect on how it felt to do laser tag with no obstacles. How can we fix that?
